MIDLAND, Mich. - The Saginaw Valley State University women's tennis team continued the nonconference portion of the 2021 spring season against Tiffin University Sunday at the Greater Midland Tennis Center in Midland, Mich.

The Cardinals got off to a strong start with a win in the doubles portion of the contest, taking two of three matches to earn a point. The Dragons took control in the singles matches, winning all six contests and earning a 6-1 win. \

"Overall we played some good tennis today," SVSU Head Coach Ryan Ruzziconi said. "We really came out on fire in doubles play and all three doubles teams played their best tennis so far this early season. Unfortunately, we were not able to sustain that hot start into singles play."

The Cardinals travel to take on Indiana Tech at 1 pm Friday in Ft. Wayne, Ind.
