Title: Assistant Coach

Cam Cavanagh comes with multiple years of coaching experience as a head coach and assistant coach. Collegiately, Cam was the JV Men’s Soccer Head Coach at Davenport University (2018 - 2020) after he concluded a brilliant 4-year playing career with the Panthers. Cam has recently completed his first season with the SVSU Cardinals as an Assistant Coach (Fall 2021). 

During the Fall 2021 campaign, SVSU finished with a 10-5-5 overall record and a 6-3-5 mark in GLIAC play. Five Cardinals earned All-GLIAC honors. Robbie Bruce and Benjamin Adamson earned First Team All-GLIAC honors, Robbie Baker and Brady Walker landed on the Second Team, and Gabriello Calamita was named Honorable Mention All-GLIAC. SVSU advanced to the GLIAC Semifinals before falling to Davenport 1-0.

A native of Durban, South Africa, Cam Cavanagh started in 85 matches for the Panthers which is the second-most at Davenport University (NAIA/NCAA DII). Cam was a 4-year starter and captain at Davenport University. He finished his career with 13 goals and 16 assists. His assist total is tied for fifth in school history. 

Cam was named First Team All-GLIAC in 2017 as a senior and was named to the GLIAC All-Tournament Team. He also was named First Team All-WHAC in 2015 and 2016. Cam started in 23 matches during his freshman season when the Davenport University Panthers won the 2014 NAIA National Championship.  

Away from the field, Cam graduated from Davenport University with a Bachelors' Degree in International Business (2018). 

Cam has also recently graduated from DU with his Masters' Degree in Business Administration (MBA) in 2021.
