UNIVERSITY CENTER, Mich. – Saginaw Valley State University is excited to announce the hiring of Brad Barlog as the new Assistant Athletic Director of Facilities & Events, effective last month.
Starting in mid-May 2021, Barlog took over the responsibilities to coordinate, schedule, and manage all aspects of hosting home athletic events, athletic facility/field maintenance, oversee summer camps and laundry/equipment room operations.
"I am extremely honored to be the next Assistant Athletic Director of Facilities & Events here at Saginaw Valley State University," Barlog said. "I would like to thank our Athletic Director John Decker, Deputy Athletic Director Angela Pohl, the search committee, the athletic department and the entire SVSU campus, and our partners for this amazing opportunity. I am ready to hit the ground running and continue the excellence within the athletic department. I look forward to meeting everyone and being part of the family and culture here at SVSU."
Barlog joins SVSU after serving in a similar role at Alma College since April 2020. He completed two years as a graduate assistant at Central Michigan University in facility operations and event management, while also serving as an intern at the University of Toledo in facility operations.
Barlog graduated from CMU in 2020 with a Master of Arts in Sports Administration and in 2018 with a Bachelor of Arts in Recreation and Leisure Services.
