Two SVSU Tennis Players Receive All-GLIAC Honors
BAY CITY, Mich. - Two Saginaw Valley State University women's tennis players have received All-GLIAC honors for the 2009 fall season. Freshman Yunjiao Shanngguan (Chengdu, China/Shiyang HS) was named to the 2009 All-GLIAC Women's Tennis First Team while sophomore Debra Hammond (Goodrich, Mich.) was named to the All-GLIAC Honorable Mention team.
Shanngguan recorded a 4-5 individual record while playing at the No. 1 Singles position this fall in her first season of collegiate competition for the Cardinals.
Hammond played the entire season at No. 2 Singles for SVSU and teamed up with Shanngguan at No. 1 Doubles to post a 3-6 record this fall.
