INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - Saginaw Valley State University freshman women's swimming & diving student-athlete Rebeca Martinez completed her competition on Saturday (Mar. 14) at the 2015 NCAA Division II National Championships.
Her final event of the championships was the 200 Back Prelims, her best event as she entered with a seed time of 2:01.63. She finished 20th in the race, posting a time of 2:03.81.
Martinez finished 20th overall in the prelims of the 400 IM on Thursday, posting a time of 4:32.87.
She competed in the 200 Yard IM on Wednesday (Mar. 11) at the 2015 NCAA Division II National Championships as well, finishing 35th overall in the prelims of that event with a time of 2:08.38.
It wraps up the inaugural season for the SVSU women's swimming & diving program. Martinez is the first in program history to compete in the championships and will look to continue her stellar performance next season for her sophomore campaign.
