From Head Coach Michael O'Neill
"Today was no where near good enough. The team did not start the right way and we were under pressure for the first 25 which lead to Ferris getting on the board. It was a hot one but there was no excuses for our sluggishness and our lack of quality. The subs brought us energy and allowed us to steady the ship a little... The second goal came from a corner which is always tough to take as we practice those each week. The girls battled on and finished the game strong but it was a case of too little too late. We will regroup and go again Friday."
The Cardinals will head home to face Michigan Tech Friday beginning at noon. SVSU will play another home game Sunday at noon versus Northern Michigan. Both will be counted in conference play.
