Women's Basketball Set To Play Detroit Wednesday

UNIVERSITY CENTER, Mich. - The Saginaw Valley State University women's basketball team will travel to Detroit on Wednesday (Nov. 4) for a 7:00 pm match-up with the University of Detroit Mercy Titans. 

This will be the Cardinals' second and final exhibition game, both being against Division I opponents.  SVSU dropped an exhibition contest Sunday (Nov. 1) at Central Michigan University.  SVSU outscored the Chippewas in the second half of that game, shooting 62.5 percent and at a 53.1 clip for the entire contest.  "After the improved second half we played against Central Michigan and how focused the girls have been this week, I am really looking forward to tomorrow's game", said second-year Cardinal Head Coach Shannon Baugh.

The Lady Cardinals will open their regular season Sunday, Nov. 15 at 1:00 pm against Urbana University and their GLIAC schedule December 3 when they host the University of Findlay Oilers in a 6:00 pm contest.
