Huebner, who just this past weekend claimed the national championship in the heptathlon at the NCAA Division II Outdoor Championships, was one of 12 members of the District 4 First Team. That team is comprised of student-athletes from the GLIAC, GLVC and GMAC leagues.
Lauren maintains a 3.90 GPA as an occupational therapy major at Saginaw Valley State University. She posted a pair of all-american honors this year, finishing third at the indoor championships in the pentathlon before breaking through for the outdoor title in the heptathlon. Huebner had two GLIAC titles in this year's outdoor championships en route to being named the Track Athlete of the Meet and the High Point Athlete of the Meet. At the GLIAC Indoor Championships, she had four podium finishes for the Cardinals.
Having earned first team all-district honors, Huebner will now move on and have a chance at earning academic all-america honors.
