From Head Coach Bruce Zimmermann...

"Todays meet proved to be a good start to the winter portion of our season. Our women avenged last years loss to Albion with a dominating performance today and the men won a tough and highly competitive meet. The men's meet was not decided until the second to last event of the meet. Albions men's team is a very strong Division 3 program, and one of the best in Michigan. To come away with the hard fought victory against them is very satisfying and a great step forward for our first year men's team. This was our first competition since before Thanksgiving and we were very race rusty but the team did what it needed to do to win todayand I am very proud of them. We have two more tough dual meets over the next two weekends as we prepare for the GLIAC Championships in February and this was a great way to start the last segment of our season."

Up Next For the Cardinals...

Saginaw Valley will be at Hillsdale College next Saturday (Jan. 16) to compete against Hillsdale and Ashland.
