The Cardinals ended the seven day span of 14 games with matching 4-0 victories over GLIAC foe Ferris State University and LIU Post on Saturday afternoon.

Game One

Saginaw Valley scored a run in the top of the third, added two more in the fourth and a fourth in its half of the fifth to grab a 4-0 lead. That's what the final score would prove to be.

The score stayed there throughout the contest against the team receiving top-25 votes nationally as Sarah Appold (3-2) got the victory in the circle. She allowed just three hits, struck-out nine batters and walked just two batters in the game.

Danielle Hamilton had two of SVSU's six hits in the game. Wood had the big blow, the three-run shot for the Cardinals. It was her second career home run in an SVSU uniform.
