BAY CITY, Mich. — Oakley Hanger (Weymouth, England / Southampton Solent) had an impressive weekend for the Cardinals, posting one goal and two assists in this weekends sweep against Purdue Northwest on Friday followed by Tiffin on Sunday.

In the 4-0 victory against the Pride, Hanger contributed the first assist of the game with a nice cross in front of the net, finished by teammate Alex Gloshen. This later went to be the game-winning goal in the fifth shutout of the year.

In Sundays 3-2 comeback victory over the Dragons, Hanger added an assist to the weekend off a touch feed to Michael Hamilton, tying the score 2-2. Hanger dropped in the game winning goal against the Dragons within 10 minutes left to play, his first of the season.

Hanger now has two goals on the season and four assists, both career highs for the sophomore.

The #19 Saginaw Valley State Men's Soccer team will be on the road this weekend for a pair of league match ups, beginning with a Friday (Oct. 20) with a night contest at Davenport in a 7:00 p.m. match. The Cardinals defeated the Panthers earlier this season by a score of 1-0 on October 1.
