BAY CITY, Mich. — The GLIAC announced its week five men's soccer accolades on Tuesday, with Saginaw Valley's junior defender Omar Sinclair earning the GLIAC defensive player of the week honors for Men's Soccer.
Sinclair's defense over this past weekends contests against GLIAC opponents Ashland and Davenport, secured #13 Saginaw Valley with two shutout victories. The SVSU defense held strong against Ashland on Friday, never allowing a shot on goal the entire 90 minutes of play, earning the team a 1-0 win against the Eagles. Saginaw Valley took the game 1-0 for a clean sweep of the weekends GLIAC match ups.
