ROCHESTER - The Saginaw Valley State University men's soccer team dropped a 2-0 contest at Oakland University in a preseason exhibition contest on Monday night.

OU got on the board at the 27:50 mark when Blake Barribeau knocked one in off a free kick. The second goal came at the 74:06 marker of the contest, as Alex Serwatka kicked in a rebound for the team's second goal.

Each team had three shots in the opening period while the Cardinals out-shot the Golden Grizzlies by a 12-8 margin in the second frame. SVSU owned the corner kicks category as well, posting a 10-1 edge there. Six of the Cardinal shots were on goal, with Aleksandar Isaevski and Andrew Dalou each putting two shots on net.
