UNIVERSITY CENTER, Mich. - The Saginaw Valley State University men's golf team hosted the Al Watrous Invitational over the weekend at the Saginaw Valley Public Golf Course.
Sophomore Jiseung Choi helped the Cardinals finish second in the team standings as well as claiming top individual honors in the event. The Houghton, Mich. native shot a 68 on day one of the competition and concluded the tournament by carding a 71 for an overall score of 139. Choi's score was one stroke better than three golfers tied for second place. For his efforts over the weekend, Choi was named Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Men's Golfer of the Week.
Choi and the Cardinals will be back in action at the Doc Spragg Invitational hosted by Findlay University beginning on Monday.
