Tournament: Al Watrous Invitational (Round 2)

Team Score: 283-296 - 579 (3rd Place)
BAY CITY -- After holding the first round lead at the 2017 SVSU-hosted Al Watrous Invitational, the Cardinal Red team ended up finishing in third place after registering a second round total of 296.
Saginaw Valley finished a single stroke behind runner-up Hillsdale College and 19 behind tournament winner Grand Valley State.
The SVSU White team also competed, ending up in a tie for seventh place overall with a total score of 586 (288-298).
For the Red squad, first round co-leader followed up his opening round score of 65 with an even par round of 72, finishing in fourth place at 139 (-5).
Mason Motte had the next best score on Sunday, carding a 75 (+3). He finished tied for 50th with his total of 151 (+7).
Both Austin Carter and Jared Lyons shot rounds of 75 for the final 18 holes. Carter finished tied for 12th overall after his scores of 69-75 (E). Lyons ended up in a tie for 45th with his twin rounds of 75 (+6).
Gunnar Stein had a 76 on Sunday and finished with a four-over total of 148 after combining his Saturday even par round. He tied for 36th overall.
Dustin Pumford had the lowest score on the day, firing a one-under score of 71 to lead the White team. He tied for 12th overall at even par 144 (71-73).
The Cardinals head to South Haven, Michigan to compete in the GLIAC North Invitational, which will be played at the HawksHead Gol Course.
