- As a senior, Kirk was Voted Saginaw Valley League MVP 2001 as the QB/S
- Class of 2007 Graduate from Grand Valley State University with a Major in Communications
- Member of 4 (2002-2003, 2005-2006) National Championship football teams at GVSU as a LB under Brian Kelly and Chuck Martin
- Was voted All GLIAC (2005-2007)
- Married to Beyonca Carruth with a son Mr. Kameron Maximus Carruth 6 years old
