UNIVERSITY CENTER -- The 2019 Red / White SVSU Football Spring Game is set to take place on Saturday, April 20. Kickoff will be at 12:00 p.m. at the SVSU Fieldhouse. Admission to the game is free and the public is welcome to attend as well. Entrance to the building will be at the lower fieldhouse doors, which are at the southwest corner of the building.
The annual spring game concludes the 15-practice spring schedule for the Cardinals, who are under the direction of first year coach Ryan Brady. Brady and the coaching staff welcome back a solid group of returners for the 2019 season and the team is eager to improve upon its 8-3 record from last year.
"My goals for the spring were to create a new culture, brand and love for Cardinal Football," said Brady. "I challenged our guys to create a new standard for who we want to be and to completely focus on us!! We talked every day about 'Earning It' and winning the day. The team has done an outstanding job of internalizing the message from our coaching staff and, because of that, we have had an outstanding spring season. Wa are all looking forward to Saturday as a celebration of all the hard work this spring!"
Saturday's spring game will feature four 15-minute quarters with a running clock, as the clock will stop only within the final two minutes of the second and fourth quarters. It will be an offense versus defense format with the following scoring format...

The Cardinals open the 2019 regular season at Texas A&M-Kingsville on Saturday, Sep. 7 at 8:00 p.m. The first home game at Wickes Stadium is slated for Saturday, Sep. 14 versus Tiffin at 1:00 p.m.
