BAY CITY -- Saginaw Valley State University sophomore running back Tommy Scott Jr. earned Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Offensive Player of the Week honors following a huge offensive effort in Saturday's 42-24 non-conference win at Alderson Broaddus.
The sophomore totaled 210 all-purpose yards, registering three touchdowns for the second time in his career in the matchup against the Battlers. He rushed 24 times for 132 yards and two scores, adding 78 yards on three catches with a touchdown.
After claiming their first season-opening victory since the 2012 season, SVSU hosts Walsh University at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday in the Red Feather Classic at Wickes Memorial Stadium.
