BAY CITY, Mich. - Saginaw Valley State University sophomore linebacker Bryan Jones (Schoolcraft, Mich. / Schoolcraft HS) has been named to the 2015 All-GLIAC Second Team following voting conducted by the league's head coaches.
Jones led the Cardinals in tackles for the second consecutive season to begin his career. He racked-up 103 total stops, averaging 9.4 tackles per contest. He added a pair of sacks, four tackles for loss, a forced fumble and a pass break-up while leading the defensive effort for SVSU. His 9.4 tackles per game average ranked him fourth in the league and his 103 total stops ranked him second. He had five games where he registered double-digits in tackles, including a career-best 16 on October 10th against Ashland University.

Andrew Courtemanche - So. | P | Macomb, Mich. / L'Anse Creuse HS
Courtemanche led the GLIAC with a punting average of 39.9 yards. He punted the ball 61 times total and pinned his opponents inside the 20 13 times this year. His long punt for the season was 67 yards.
Will Farr - So. | TE | Grand Ledge, Mich. / Grand Ledge HS
Farr emerged as a serious offensive threat in the second half of the season and wound up being the fourth-leading receiver for the Cardinals in 2015. He reeled-in 17 catches for 281 yards and two touchdowns. His 16.5 yards per catch led the team and he had a season and career-long 80-yard TD reception at Northwood on October 24th.
Jack Jennings - So. | DE | Paw Paw, Mich. / Paw Paw HS
Jennings totaled 37 tackles as a starting defensive end for the Cards in 10 games played. He added 7.5 tackles for loss, two of those being sacks, for a total of 22 negative opponent yards. The 37 stops are a career-high for Jennings.
Marq Johnson - RFr. | WR | Pontiac, Mich. / Clawson HS
Johnson was the leading receiver for SVSU this season, catching 36 balls for 589 yards and six scores. He finished the season with his first two career 100-yard receiving games, finishing with a seven catch, 130 yard and one touchdown performance at Grand Valley State. He averaged 16.4 yards per catch for the Cardinals in his redshirt freshman campaign.
Jordan Sanders - Jr. | DT | Rochester, Mich. / Michigan State University
Sanders bounced-back with a fine 2015 season after sitting out 2014 due to injury. He posted 39 tackles in 10 games at defensive tackle, including eight tackles for loss and five sacks. Sanders also broke-up a pass for SVSU. The 39 tackles mark a career-high for Jordan.
Dwight Trammer - Sr. | LB | Detroit, Mich. / Inkster HS
Trammer ranked second on the team with 90 tackles in his 11 games of action at the middle linebacker position. He averaged 8.2 stops per game and had 2.5 tackles for loss and half a sack. Trammer broke-up a pair of passes for the defense as well. The 90 tackles were a career-high for Trammer and his 90 tackles ranked him 10th in the league while his 8.2 per game average was 13th.
