Why I Chose SVSU: I chose Saginaw Valley because, from that first time I went there, it felt like home. From meeting Coach Jaksa to seeing the campus, I knew in my gut this was the place for me. I'm super excited to get to SVSU and be a part of this program.
Coach Jaksa on Brady Carpenter: Brady came highly recommended to us by Coach Van Robays of the Oakland Bulldogs, who has produced a lot of excellent players. The first thing you notice about Brady is his personality. He has a positive, competitive, infectious attitude all rolled into one. We think he is going to be an excellent outfielder that will battle at the plate and do what it takes to help his team be successful.

Why I Chose SVSU: I chose SVSU because I really liked everything about the college, campus, and the baseball program. The players and coaches made it feel like a great fit for me.
Coach Jaksa on Jackson Decker: We had Jackson at camp in August and you can see his upside. He is long and loose and as he adds weight and strength it will add to his effectiveness. We like the way he pitches as he throws a lot of strikes and mixes speeds. We feel Jackson will be a very good arm for us.

Why I Chose SVSU: I chose SVSU for many reasons. It's close to home, a smaller school, an awesome atmosphere, and I love the coaching staff. They have been very helpful to me and my family in helping me become a Cardinal. I can't wait to be a part of the family!
Coach Jaksa on Brandon Hunsaker: Brandon is a very physical two-way player who possesses a lot of power in both his bat and arm. On top of that he is an intense competitor with a great work ethic. We feel he is one of the best 2022's in Michigan and we look forward to seeing what he can become in a Cardinal uniform!

Why I Chose SVSU: I chose SVSU because it felt like home the moment I stepped on campus. Coach Jaksa really pursued me and the environment with the players really made me feel like this was the place for me.
Coach Jaksa on Will Juday: Will has a good body at 6'3, 175 and we think it's just going to keep getting better. He has a high baseball IQ and knows a lot about the game. He comes from both a great high school and summer program that develops players. We love his upside on the mound as he is very projectable. He also has some promising ability with the bat. We are thrilled to have Will in our program.

SVSU is close to home too. It's a place that I know that I can continue to get better at my game and have a group of guys around me to help me get there.
Coach Jaksa on Ethan Marshall: Ethan is a kid we have seen a lot at camps and during the summer and he continues to climb the ladder. He is a kid that really competes on the mound and can command 3 pitches. We feel our strength and conditioning program will help him continue to climb and be a guy who can get us outs.

Why I Chose SVSU: I chose SVSU because it made me feel at home. When I visited the school, the baseball team welcomed me and talked to me openly. It felt like a family. I also chose SVSU because my sister goes there. I have only heard positive things from her about the school and the professors. I feel comfortable around campus and the surrounding areas after being there for baseball camps and tournaments.
Coach Jaksa on Adam Peters: Adam will bring a lot of energy and a tremendous work ethic to our program and will push guys to be their best. His summer coach, Mike Rice, really praised his character and work ethic. We are happy to have Adam as a Cardinal.

Why I Chose SVSU: I chose SVSU because they offered everything I wanted, it's not too big or small. All the facilities and everything is perfect, I fell in love with it when I stepped foot on campus. I love all the coaches and how they approach the game and love the work ethic from each of them.
Coach Jaksa on Noah Purks: Noah is an intriguing prospect because we don't think he realizes how good he can be yet. He is a good defensive outfielder with a strong arm that carries. For a smaller frame he has some pop in his bat and can run a little bit. We look forward to watching Noah continue to fill out and be the type of player he is capable of.

Why I Chose SVSU: I chose SVSU because of its family atmosphere, College of Accounting/Business, and baseball program. My sister is a Jr. at SVSU and plays soccer here. Over the years I have become very familiar with the campus and Coach Jaksa's baseball program. It's a competitive team that is always striving to get better every day, and that is something I've always wanted to be a part of. I look forward to being a Cardinal at SVSU!
Coach Jaksa on Tommy Rice: We have had Tommy at camps the last couple of years and his growth physically and as a player, this last year has been tremendous. Tommy is a gamer and a terrific receiver behind the dish. His sister is an outstanding athlete on our women's soccer team and we can see Tommy growing into the same type of athlete. He has been well-coached through the years and will fit in well with what we do.

Why I Chose SVSU: I chose SVSU because I love the facilities and programs they have to offer and I also love the surrounding area. Coming from Northern Michigan I'm used to traveling long distances for baseball. Saginaw Valley is like a home away from home for me. I will be able to experience being in a higher populated area and bigger cities but close enough that it is an easy drive home. My family will also be able to make the trip to visit which is important to me. Lastly, I chose SVSU because of everyone I've met, especially the coaches and current players. Everyone has treated me like I was one of them and welcomed me into the college. I'm excited to be a part of SVSU and everything it has to offer.
Coach Jaksa on Daniel Wilcome: Daniel plays for a very good Cheboygan High School team and we think he has a high ceiling. His fastball was up to 86 this summer and as that frame fills out we believe he will make a good jump. He has a good 3 pitch mix and really commands the plate. We are looking forward to watching Daniel play for us.
