Baseball Falls To #10 Minnesota State-Mankato

AUBURNDALE, Fla. - The Saginaw Valley State University baseball team fell to the 10th-ranked Minnesota State University Mavericks by a score of 17-0 on Tuesday afternoon (3/8).  The loss drops the Cardinals to an even 3-3 overall on the season while the Mavericks improve to 3-4 overall.

The Cardinals managed only three hits off Maverick pitchers, as Matt Hunt (Howell, Mich./Concordia University) and Ryan Ermers (Sterling Heights, Mich./Henry Ford II HS) each had doubles while Kyle Parks (Flushing, Mich.) recorded his first-career hit.

Kevin Kerner (Richmond, Mich.) took the loss on the hill for SVSU, going 4.1 innings in the contest.

SVSU is back in action tomorrow, as they travel to Lakeland to take-on Florida Southern in a 6:00 PM contest.
