Webber Chosen As GLIAC Baseball "Player of the Week"

BAY CITY, Mich. - Saginaw Valley State University senior catcher Ryan Webber (Clio, Mich./Powers Catholic HS) was selected as the GLIAC Baseball "Player of the Week", it was announced by the league office.

Webber hit .667 (12-18) on the week, leading the Cardinals to a 3-2 record against Findlay and Tiffin.  Webber hit three home runs, a pair of doubles, scored eight runs and drove-in 17 runs, including 11 RBI's with a pair of home runs in SVSU's 30-19 victory over Tiffin.  The 11 RBI's broke an SVSU record for RBI's in a single game.  Webber is hitting .453 on the year with four home runs and a team-high 35 RBI's, which also leads the GLIAC.
