The Cardinal Student Athlete of the Year award is meant to honor a senior student-athlete that has embodied the four goals of the athletic department both on the athletic field and in the classroom.
The Cardinal Student Athlete of the Year must have maintained at least a 3.2 GPA, be a member of a conference or tournament championship team or earned post-season conference, region or All-American athletic honors, participated in a community engagement program or service, and be a member of SAAC or another SVSU RSO.
