Jackie DetrickJackie Detrick joined the SVSU Athletic Training staff in August 2002. She earned a bachelor's degree in physical education with an emphasis in athletic training, corporate fitness and wellness from Grand Valley State University in April 2000. She then went on to earn a master's degree in developmental kinesiology from Bowling Green State University in August 2002. During her undergraduate years at GVSU, Detrick served as a student athletic trainer for various Laker sports teams. While working toward her master's degree, she worked as a graduate assistant athletic trainer for the football, women's soccer, and men's and women's track and field teams at Ohio Northern University. Detrick holds the position of head athletic trainer for Cardinal Athletics. She is a member of the National Athletic Trainers Association (NATA), the Great Lakes Athletic Trainers Association (GLATA) and certified by the Board of Certification (BOC). Born on May 31, 1978, she is the daughter of James and Elaine Matuszak and is married to Travis Detrick. | |
Chris CamburnChris Camburn begins his third year as assistant athletic trainer for Saginaw Valley State University. Camburn is the staff athletic trainer in charge of volleyball, cross country, track & field and baseball. Prior to joining the SVSU athletic training staff in 2006,
Camburn was a graduate assistant at Grand Valley State University
where he was responsible for baseball and swimming &
diving. Camburn resides in Saginaw Township with his wife Kristy. |

Chad YensenChad Yensen begins his third year as assistant athletic trainer for Saginaw Valley State University. Yensen assists with the Cardinal football squad and works with several other sports. Yensen came to SVSU from Ball State University where he was a graduate assistant athletic trainer from August 2004-May 2006. While at BSU he received his master's degree in Sports Administration in 2006 and was responsible for coverage of field hockey, football, baseball, men's and women's tennis and men's and women's swimming. Yenson also spent his summers in 2004 and 2005 as an intern athletic trainer with the 2006 Super Bowl champion Pittsburgh Steelers. He assisted in daily athletic training duties and worked with injured players in aquatic rehabilitation. Yensen also worked as an athletic training student at Marshall University where he received his bachelor's degree in athletic training in 2004. He worked primarily with football, baseball, softball and women's basketball for the Thundering Herd. Yensen is a member of the National Athletic Trainers Association and certified by the Board of Certification (BOC). |
