The Saginaw Valley State University Athletic Hall of Fame selection committee has announced the induction class of 2014, which will be honored the weekend of September 27th during the upcoming football season. Since the selection process began in 2009, 19 individuals, including: former Cardinal student-athletes, coaches and administrators, and four teams have been selected for inducted into the Cardinal Athletic Hall of Fame. The fifth Cardinal Athletic Hall of Fame class was formally announced at a press conference on April 3rd.
Hall of Fame History
SVSU Director of Athletics Mike Watson and the Hall of Fame Committee established the Cardinal Athletic Hall of Fame to recognize and honor individuals who have made exemplary contributions to Saginaw Valley State University Athletics. The inaugural class was announced Wednesday, June 2, 2010 at a press conference in the Ryder Center, and was formally inducted on Sept. 17, 2010 at a dinner ceremony and honored at halftime of the Sept. 18 football game against Lake Erie College.
